[02:42.30]I just hope Mrs. Medlock doesn't get to hear of this, Martha told Mary.

[05:28.33]He's amazing, and she told Colin about Dickon and his way with animals.
[05:36.31]Then, she described the garden, every bit of it.
[05:43.29]Colin's face lit up.
[05:46.73]It does sound wonderful.

[05:54.30]But then she grew worried.
[05:57.95]She plucked at the bed cover.
[06:01.66]Colin, you won't tell anyone, will you?

[06:18.76]Colin shuffled upwards in bed.

[06:26.07]He raised his eyebrows.
[06:28.66]I've never had a secret before.
[06:34.45]Mary sighed with relief.
[06:39.80]The rain didn't stop for several days, but this time, instead of feeling bored and unhappy, Mary had Colin for company.
[06:51.48]Martha couldn't believe the difference Mary had made to Master Colin's moods.
[06:57.36]He's like a different boy, she said, following Mary down the corridor towards Colin's room.
[07:06.03]I think you've put a spell on him.
[07:10.86]He's just lonely, like I used to be, Mary said, sounding very wise.
[07:19.07]And when you're lonely, it turns you a bit mean.
[07:26.87]Martha shook her head and went to chat to Colin's nurse, who couldn't believe the change in Master Colin either.
[07:37.21]Listen to that, the nurse said, as sounds of laughter were heard coming from Colin's bedroom.
[07:46.11]Incredible, Martha agreed.
[07:50.50]What's incredible?
[07:53.28]Mrs. Medlock asked, coming up behind the pair and startling them.
[08:00.74]Martha was so shocked at seeing Mrs. Medlock, she couldn't speak.
[08:07.36]Mrs. Medlock pushed Colin's bedroom door open.
[08:12.28]What's all this? she cried.
[08:15.31]What's that girl doing here?
[08:20.82]Master Colin scoled.
[08:23.77]I asked her to come, Medlock, he told the housekeeper.
[08:31.48]Her tone changed immediately.
[08:34.89]Her voice was soft and smarmy.
[08:39.83]But Master Colin, your cheeks are flushed.
[08:44.24]You must not get excited.
[08:49.07]The girl must leave at once.
[08:54.81]If anyone must leave at once, it's you, Medlock.
[08:58.53]Get out.
[09:00.84]Go on, show your daft woman show.
[09:07.31]Master Colin.
[09:11.08]Did you hear what I just said?
[09:14.56]Colin growled, puffing himself up.
[09:20.64]Mrs. Medlock fled.
[09:24.83]Mary began to giggle.
[09:28.28]You sounded just like a proper little Raja then, she told him.
[09:35.21]Colin sniffed.
