[00:05.40] Scott looked at White Fang snarling at the end of his chain.

[00:32.18] He must have been a sledge dog before that brute Beauty Smith got hold of him.
[00:41.51] Matt undid the chain.
[00:45.27] White Fang got up warily, expecting to be beaten at any moment.

[01:18.70] He fetched a piece of meat from the cabin and threw it at the dog.

[01:28.24] He trusted nothing and no man.
[01:38.20] One of the sled dogs was already moving towards the meat.

[01:49.82] But Major took no notice and sprang forward.
[01:55.30] In a flash, White Fang struck out.
[01:59.73] Matt leaped in, but too late, and Major lay bleeding in the snow.

[02:12.61] There was another sudden leap, a flash of fangs.

[03:47.57] Scott went up to White Fang, who watched him warily.
[03:54.40] He'd attacked this man's dog and bitten his friend.
[04:01.40] Some terrible punishment must be coming.
[04:07.93] Scott reached out his hand.
[04:14.66] White Fang snarled and struck with the speed of a coiled snake.
[04:22.84] Scott yelped.
[04:25.90] That's it, cried Matt.
[04:29.06] He dashed into the cabin and returned with a rifle.
[04:35.73] What are you doing? cried Scott.
[04:40.36] Keeping my promise, said Matt.
[04:46.30] No, said Scott.
[04:49.51] Look at him.
[04:53.86] White Fang was now watching Matt and snarling.
[05:01.40] He's clever, said Scott.
[05:06.16] He knows what you're doing.
[05:12.45] Matt lifted the rifle and aimed.
[05:18.04] White Fang sprang sideways and tried to hide behind the cabin.
[05:24.39] Well, I'll be, cried Matt, amazed.

[05:33.58] That dog is too clever to kill.
